Clean Power Capital seeks to purchase +30MW PV solar development projects and portfolios for the CFE Renewables Tender in Mexico

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) – December 2, 2015 – CLEAN POWER CAPITAL (“CPC”), a strategic and financial advisory firm dedicated to Clean Technology corporate and project financing, is seeking to help its clients acquire, or finance solar companies, and projects in Mexico, U.S.A, and Globally.

Mexico's state-run power utility Commission Federal de Electricidad (“CFE”) has announced the issuance of an RFP-Tender for up to 2,500 MW of renewable energy projects in Mexico. This process will start in December 2015 with the solicitation of bids in a March 2016 auction for 6 million renewable energy certificates. These certificates will allow for the production and sale of renewable energy under 20 year contracts.

Under recently issued rules, CFE has provided data on 50 zones with certain zones having advantages and a preference depending on the location and time of day. Bidders must prequalify with their experience and financial qualifications in January 2016. There are substantial qualification and bonds required to submit bids to the March 2016 Tender.

CPC is seeking individual projects over 30 MW, or portfolios of projects over 100 MW on behalf of major developers-investors. Our clients would prefer the complete acquisition of projects but will consider joint ventures, or majority control investments. CPC’s clients are highly qualified and can meet all CFE requirements including bonding. Please contact us with site information, and status of permitting and interconnection studies, etc.
